Science and Biblical Faith: Harmony or Conflict, Threat or Opportunity?
Across the world today science and biblical faith are seen by some as in conflict. In South Africa this sense of conflict is most sharply felt in our schools, and by our youth. Since 2010 the Theory of Evolution has been required teaching in the South African curriculum, and many of the youth of our churches are now seeking guidance on this potent issue. This article examines whether science and biblical faith are truly in conflict and how the church can respond wisely while remaining faithful to its mission.
